The Blaze King Princess Ultra model wood stove comes fitted with an ash drawer, making it a good choice for those looking for a stove that is easy to maintain.
The Princess accepts wood up to 16″ in length. With a 6″ flue, this stove is best suited for small to medium-sized areas. This stove also includes a thermostat and offers low burn times up to 20 hours, 82.5% efficiency and emissions as low as 2.42 gr/ hr.
Majority of owners are very satisfied with this stove. The issues that some owners have with the Princess is there is no ash pan which makes getting the ashes out difficult and potentially leads to a mess.
Another issue is is the unit is used day in and day out during the winter months that you will need to continuously clean the coals out so you’re able to reload with new firewood. This would be an issue for almost all stoves, however, that are this size.
The blower for the unit also seems to be ill-fitted for the size of the Princess Ultra PEJ1006. Measurements claim to be 6″, but a few owners have commented that it’s more likely 4″ which adds to the issue of poor circulation. Add this up and you may need to buy an additional fan to get the heat circulating into the room for maximum warmth.
Another issue is that although the unit looks great, the cost is slightly prohibitive compared to the output of heat an owner gets. Considering you’re in the market for a stove that not only fits the aesthetic you’re going for, but also want the unit to provide your family with warmth, please consider these issues prior to making your purchase.
