Comfortbilt HP22 Pellet Stove

With 50,000 BTUs, the Comfortbilt HP22 pellet stove is one of the more ideal pellet stoves for heating medium sized properties – up to around 2,800 square feet.

The bay windows will give you the ability to view the flames dancing around with ease from a few angles. With an 82% 5-star rating on Amazon this pellet stove is overall well liked by its owners.

While some owners have had a few issue getting the Comfortbilt HP22 dialed in to work just how it should, most rave about how wonderful of a pellet stove this unit is.

With only one distributor who services all of the Comfortbilt models, based in North Carolina, some owners find it difficult to get their pellet stove serviced if there is an issue that would be easier for a local service provider. What owners do say about the sole North Carolina location is that they have great customer service and take the time to walk owners through any issues that pop-up.

The price for this Comfortbilt HP22 is one of the selling points as it is a steal compared to many of its competitors, sometimes half the price of more expensive pellet stoves.

Installation for this Comfortbilt HP22 is also relatively easy, as long as you have some assistance moving it into place, as the weight is just under 300 lbs.

There’s a removable ash pan that makes emptying a somewhat easy process. The blower on this Comfortbilt is pretty quiet so the fam won’t disturb any naps you take in front of it.

While this unit doesn’t require its own amp breaker, you should be conscious about what else is plugged into an outlet using the same breaker.

If you have a young family where kids are still at the stage of touching everything the outside of this Comfortbilt HP22 doesn’t get too hot to the touch, but the viewing area does heat up to the point where you will get burned, so make sure to put a gate around the unit to ensure your family’s safety

The hopper will hold a full 40 lbs bag of pellets which allows you to empty and move along with your day so you can have continuous heat. If the hopper runs out of pellets the unit will shut down and you will have to wait about 20-minutes for the stove to restart.

The vent kit is sold separately so make sure to make that purchase when buying the Comfortbilt HP22 or you will be scrambling when you receive your unit and are ready for install.

Just in case you are interested in this Comfortbilt but live in Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, sorry it can’t be shipped to you.

Overall this is a very good, very affordable pellet stove that should be on everyone’s list when they’re considering replacing an older stove or looking for alternatives to heating their house. No major complaints from current owners to take too much note of if you are ok dealing with one supplier who is based in North Carolina, but gets excellent marks for customer service!
