Pacific Energy Alderlea T4 Classic Wood Burning Stove Review

The Pacific Energy Alderlea T4 Classic is a traditional yet sleek and easy to use stove equipped with a stove cook top, incredible heat output, and charming view of the fire courtesy of the large glass front door.

An issue users have is that they would prefer to load the wood from the top as loading from front can present a mess and potential smoke issue. This obviously is a preference for how you would like to load wood during stove season, however, no one wants smoke entering their home.

Another issue is the manufacturer recommendation for waiting until the coals burn out prior to emptying the ashes. This presents an issue as ash can build up to the point where you need to dump them, but because the coals haven’t completely cooled you are left without the ability for a fire for a day or so.

All Alderlea stoves, including the T4 Classic, come fitted with a hidden cooktop, air-wash for easy maintenance and cleaning of the extra-large glass window. In addition to floating firebox, and an ash chute for easy maintenance.

Reviews for the Alderlea T4 Classic are primarily positive when it comes to the heat output, but due to the ash clean-out issue and small area for pots to be heated and stored you should consider your personal needs prior to making this purchase.
