US Stove 2000 Wood Burning Stove Review

US Stove company produces stoves in the US and is an affordable alternative to the Hi-Flame. Now, from out of the box the US Stove is not ready to go and requires a difficult setup process. This stove isn’t easy to assemble, and makes it hard to know if you’ve made the error or if it’s a manufacturing issue with the stove, should anything go wrong.

Now, the price of the US Stove is definitely its best feature. The stove is capable of warming 2,000 square feet, which is an impressive distance.  It isn’t amazingly efficient at using fuel, but it could be worse.

Features of the US Stove 2000

Easy Cleaning – The stove itself has a nice and simple design and features a built-in “air wash” system to help clean the glass door and make sure the fire is viewable. This stove will look great in a living room or a log cabin because it really is beautiful to watch. In this sense, it is great value for money as most of the stoves that look great come in at higher prices – such as the Hi-Flame FF-905.

Durable – The product is designed to be durable as this model comes lined with firebrick, combustion efficiency and a large ash pan.  The stove meets the criteria for EPA certification and can be used in mobile homes, which is great because you know you’re getting a safe product.

Another issue with the US Stove is that it can initially lack quality in getting the stove to work effectively. The biggest critics of this stove have all stressed that the fame often dies out almost immediately after the window door has shut- this is not an uncommon problem. Although when in full working condition, the stove is capable of projecting heat for 2,000 square feet and can prove to be a quality item. US Stove factory technicians blame the fire going out on the wrong installation of the ceramic insulator board- so it again comes back to the stove being difficult to setup and run.

If this stove could perform at its potential all of the time, for everyone, then it would be a fantastic value and a really great buy. It looks great and the distance it is capable of projecting heat is outstanding for the price you pay and will help you get your house to the temperature you desire.

However, this stove suffers from its difficulty to start it up. It is hard work to set up and ensure it is running smoothly. With it being such a complicated setup, this is where it loses its value. If you set it up wrong, you lose initial quality and it can take time to work out where it has gone wrong. If setup was easier, or if you knew how to install it, this would be a great value buy.
