My pellet stove doesn’t seem to burning like it should be, it’s very slow and losing steam, plus lots of smoke is escaping into the house.
Any advice on what may be causing this issue?
First things first give you stove a good cleaning, remove all the ash from the ash pot and chambers, clean out all the venting – everything!
Next check that the doors are sealed and shut as most stoves have negative air, meaning that the firebox is vacuumed. So if you don’t have it sealed shut you will have a very weak flame.
These are the first things you should investigate, let me know if it helps or not.
I am also curious as to what other fuel sources you have in the home. A gas furnace system, for example, could affect the backdraft of your stove.
