Hi guys, I’ve been reading these forums for quite a while and have gained a lot of knowledge. I’ve seen some members have some incredible knowledge on here!
So, I own a majestic zero clearance fireplace and would like to convert it to something with more power in the heat department. Thinking about the Jotul but not sure?
I have a triple -walled air cooled chimney and was advised that if I wanted a wood stove I’d need to install a 6 ” HT rated version, which would cost at least $4000.
Any advice would be appreciated?
This shouldn’t be a problem as long as the flue outlet is lower than the lintel of the fireplace. Although this may involve extending the stove to jut out more in front of the stove.
Either a stove on the hearth with the chimney going back inside the fireplace and up the existing flue/pipe,
Remove the entire heatilator fireplace.
