I have read a lot of articles that mention cleaning this. What exactly is it?
Creosote is the material that accumulates in the chimney. It builds up when you are burning wood. This build up will be worse or occur faster if wood is not buning well or your wood burner is not in good working order
Okay. So it is very important to keep this cleaned out then? I think I read it is very combustible if not cleaned out.
