The Vogelzang Defender is a great piece of machinery, designed to be a durable and aesthetically pleasing piece of equipment in your home, however it was discontinued by the manufacturer. This stove is light and easy to set up and use. The fact that this stove is so simple is a huge plus, put in the fuel and feel the warmth- it’s as easy as that! With something so simple, it means you don’t have to waste your time fooling around with it, trying to get it to work.
Features of the Vogelzang Defender Wood Stove
One of the most impressive things about this stove is how efficient it burns wood. It allows you to make the most out of any wood that you use, which can be any log up to 17” in length. Vogelzang has tested and designed their entire range of products and has been heating homes since 1974.
However, the Vogelzang does have its issues. The Vogelzang is a very expensive alternative to the Pleasant Hearth, which has a lot more to offer for a much-reduced price. Pleasant Hearth’s stoves will heat up to 2,200 square feet, 1000 square feet more than the Vogelzang. The Vogelzang is more expensive than the Pleasant Hearth, without offering anything that the Pleasant Hearth does not offer. The Vogelzang doesn’t offer fantastic value for your money and has high-end prices without the high-end product.
Furthermore, many have issues with just how far the heat from the Vogelzang stretches. It struggles to project heat to a significant radius, meaning this might not heat your entire living room.
Without a sufficient heat projection, this product really lacks the primary function of a stove. The stove does look good; it is easy to set up and clean and will last a long time. However, it is a very expensive alternative to other stoves, which offer a lot more, especially the Pleasant Hearth.
